Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Carspecto platform operated by Tradetime s.r.o.
Effective date: May 2026
General Provisions
By accessing or using the Carspecto platform or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by Tradetime s.r.o., IČO: 55350542, DIČ: 2121962183 (hereinafter the "Company"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Company.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement with the Company under the laws of your jurisdiction.
Description of Service
Carspecto is a web platform that enables users to collect, organise, and analyse used-car listings from publicly accessible automotive portals across Europe and the United States. The Service is designed exclusively as a personal research and analysis tool for private, non-commercial use by the authenticated user.
Car Listing Data Collection & Scraping
4.1 Nature of Data Collected
Carspecto operates by retrieving publicly visible vehicle listing information from third-party automotive marketplaces and classified advertisement portals located in Europe and the United States. Data collected may include, but is not limited to: vehicle make, model, year, mileage, asking price, fuel type, transmission, equipment details, condition notes, and listing URL.
4.2 No Personal Data Scraped
The Company expressly does not collect, store, or process any personal information about private sellers or other individuals appearing on source portals. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and other personally identifiable information are deliberately excluded from the data collection process. Collection is limited strictly to technical and commercial vehicle attributes.
4.3 Source Attribution & Backlinking
Every vehicle listing imported into your Carspecto dashboard retains a direct hyperlink to the original advertisement on the source portal. The Company is committed to full attribution of source data and does not remove, obscure, or misrepresent the origin of any listing. This practice respects the intellectual property of source platforms and enables users to verify information directly.
4.4 Permitted Use — Personal Analysis Only
By using the Service, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that all collected car listing data, and all AI-generated analysis, reports, scores, and buyer's guides produced from it, are provided solely for your own personal research and analysis. You must not:
- redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly share any data or AI-generated content obtained via the Service, including exported PDF reports;
- use collected data or AI-generated content for commercial purposes, lead generation, or competitive intelligence on behalf of third parties;
- aggregate or republish data or reports in a way that replicates or substitutes the source portal's own offering;
- share your account credentials or dashboard access with other individuals or organisations.
4.5 User-Initiated Actions Only
Data is only collected and stored as a direct result of an explicit action taken by the authenticated user (e.g., saving a listing, triggering a scan). The Service does not operate in the background autonomously, does not continuously monitor portals without user input, and does not transmit data without a deliberate user-initiated event.
4.6 Access Restricted to Authenticated Dashboard
All scraped vehicle data is stored securely and accessible exclusively within your personal Carspecto dashboard after successful login. Collected data is never publicly indexed, surfaced to other users, or exposed via any public interface. The Company does not share, sell, or transfer your saved listings to any third party.
4.7 Compliance with Source Portals
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your individual use of the Service complies with the terms of service of any source portal from which data is collected. The Company makes no warranty that use of the Service is permitted under the terms of any specific third-party portal.
User Account & Security
Access to the Service requires registration and creation of a personal account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify the Company immediately upon becoming aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
Accounts are strictly personal and non-transferable. Sharing your account with third parties is prohibited and may result in immediate suspension.
Payment, Subscription Plans, Trial & Credits
6.1 Plans and Credits
The Service is offered under a freemium model. Certain features require "credits," which are consumed per use (e.g., generating an AI analysis). Credits may be obtained through a paid subscription plan (billed monthly) or through one-time credit-pack purchases. Current plans, their monthly price, included credits, and features are described on the Pricing page at carspecto.com and may change from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that transaction.
6.2 Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day trial period with 3 free credits. The trial does not require payment information and does not automatically convert into a paid subscription — if you take no action, your trial simply expires and no charge is made. Approximately 3 days before your trial ends, we will notify you by email.
6.3 Billing and Auto-Renewal
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis and automatically renew until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.; the Company does not store your full payment card details. If you are a resident of a US state with an automatic-renewal law, we will disclose the recurring nature of the charge, the amount, and the cancellation method before you complete your purchase, as required by that law, and you may cancel your subscription online at any time through a process no more difficult than the one used to subscribe.
6.4 Upgrades
You may upgrade your subscription plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, are billed on a prorated basis for the remainder of the current billing period, and grant the additional credits attributable to the new plan. Downgrading to a lower-tier plan is not currently supported; you may cancel your subscription instead (see 6.6) and, once it ends, subscribe to a different plan.
6.5 Credit Packs
One-time credit packs are non-recurring purchases that add a fixed number of credits to your account balance. Credits from subscriptions and credit packs share a single balance and do not expire, but are non-refundable once used (see 6.7 regarding AI-generation failures).
6.6 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not end your access immediately — you retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, after which your plan reverts to the free tier. You may reactivate a pending cancellation at any point before the period ends.
6.7 Refunds
Except as required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable. If an AI analysis job fails to complete due to a technical error on our part, the credit consumed for that attempt is automatically returned to your balance; this is a service credit, not a monetary refund. Where you are a consumer and applicable law grants you a statutory right of withdrawal from this distance contract, please note that credits and AI-generated reports are digital content not supplied on a physical medium: by requesting and using a feature that consumes credits (e.g., generating an analysis) before the withdrawal period would otherwise expire, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal for that purchase, to the extent permitted under the applicable implementation of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.
6.8 Payment Failure
If a renewal payment fails, your subscription is marked past-due; we may retry the charge and will suspend access to paid features if payment is not resolved within a reasonable period.
AI-Generated Analysis; Decision-Support Tool Only
7.1
The Service uses artificial intelligence (including third-party large language models) to generate analysis, price assessments, risk flags, recommendations (e.g., "Buy" / "Consider" / "Caution" / "Avoid"), and buyer's guides based on publicly available listing data and other sourced information. This output is generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated, or factually incorrect.
7.2
The Service is an analytical tool intended to support your own independent market research when considering a used-vehicle purchase. It is not professional automotive, mechanical, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for an independent vehicle inspection, a mechanic's assessment, or your own judgment.
7.3
Any decision to purchase, negotiate for, or forgo a vehicle based in whole or in part on information from the Service is made entirely at your own discretion and risk. The Company is not a party to any transaction between you and a seller and makes no representation as to the condition, legality, or title of any vehicle referenced in the Service.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service;
- use automated means (bots, crawlers) to interact with the Service beyond the Service's intended functionality;
- circumvent any access controls or security measures;
- use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law or regulation;
- infringe the intellectual property rights of the Company or any third party.
Intellectual Property
The Carspecto platform, logo, and all associated content are the exclusive intellectual property of Tradetime s.r.o. and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership rights in the Service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any vehicle listing data retrieved via the Service. Vehicle information on source portals may change or be removed at any time without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including reliance on any data collected through the Service. The Company's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the three months preceding the claim.
Termination
The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that the Company believes violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, the Company, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting the Company.
Changes to Terms
The Company may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing Law
14.1 General
These Terms and the relationship between you and the Company are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14.2 EU Consumers
Where you are a consumer resident in another EU Member State, the above choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I). Disputes not resolved informally may be brought before the competent courts of the Slovak Republic or, where mandatory consumer-protection rules so require, the courts of your own country of residence.
14.3 United States Users
Where you are a resident of the United States, disputes are resolved as set out in Section 15 (Dispute Resolution — Arbitration) below, instead of through the courts referenced in 14.1–14.2.
Dispute Resolution — Arbitration (United States Users Only)
15.1 Agreement to Arbitrate
If you are a resident of the United States, you and the Company agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved by binding, individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except as set out below.
15.2 Class Action Waiver
You and the Company agree that any arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only, and not as a class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator has no authority to consolidate claims of more than one person. If this class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will proceed in court rather than arbitration.
15.3 Exceptions
Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court where it qualifies, and either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court to prevent misuse of the Service or infringement of intellectual property rights, pending the outcome of arbitration.
15.4 Right to Opt Out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@carspecto.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, identifying your name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will instead be resolved under Section 14.1.
15.5 Process
The arbitration will be conducted in English, may be conducted by document submission, telephone, or videoconference where the claim qualifies under AAA's rules, and the arbitrator's award may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. Each party bears its own costs except as the AAA rules or applicable law otherwise require.
Export Compliance
You represent that you are not located in, and will not access the Service from, a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
